Description

Edit: I decided last night that this ought to also have a picture of him before he started growing his hair out so I drew one and added it. it was on different sort of paper so it doesn't fit perfectly. sorry. I'm sure that is the least of his imperfections.

***** ***** ****
Jason Is the primary protagonist in Destiny of Dreams, the Novel I am writing. He's 21 at the beginning, but he is supposed to look young. He's an anthropologist.

I am trying to make reference pictures of the all main characters from Destiny of Dreams, because =BloodRoseAngel was going to do a family picture for me but I never had time to make reference pictures, so I want to try to make some now.

the purpose of this sketch was just a general reference for how he had his hair and what scars he had at different parts of the story.

In the first picture he still has his glasses, and his hair is growing out.

In the second, shortly after arriving in D'zeron, he has lost his glasses and been scratched in a fight with a wildcat and his beard has grown out a little while he was unconscious. ( it is probably about 3 weeks after the first picture)

In the third, he has his hair braided because D'zeron men braid their hair after they are married,

in the last two, he has lost one of the three scars from D'zeron because Theron scratched him in the same place as the scar, so when Sen'tran healed him he healed the old scar rather than restoring it as it was, but he didn't heal the other two, because having scars gives Jason status in D'zeron. and he has the flaming-serpent-infinity-sign dynasty mark on his forehead.

I have shown him with his hair braided and with his hair down. These are probably about a year after the first picture.

the last thing I should show...him in the whole Paragan costume...I don't have the skill to draw,[black skin gives me trouble] so I won't.

I did this by drawing the first picture, and then tracing the face and the basic outline on another paper and adding the changes for that time period. thus the first picture was alone on a page, but 2&3 were on one sheet, and 4&5 on another. I cut them out and colaged them all together on Neil's very old and uncooperative photoshop.

laugh all you want, I know there are some grave anatomical flaws in these drawings, but I am actually really happy with how this came out.

any sort of comments and critique welcome, good or bad:) thanks for looking, and for commenting
