Paragangian coloring wip

ok yeah I know sucks and belongs in scraps but people who might be helpful more likely to offer suggestions here.

eventually, I need to learn to shade people with black skin, since several of the characters from my story I want to draw are Paragangians with entirely black skin.

so this is an lazy effort to shade the inverted picture of Harris. I learned some from this attempt, but I thought I might learn more for people telling me what I am doing wrong.

also wanted to look at it side by side with the original inversion picture, and posting it is an easy way to do that.


please

give constructive criticisms about how to color people who are all black, and tell me what particularly looks bad in this attempt, even if you have no Idea how to fix it.
