I want to apologize for the huge bunch of photos I seem to be posting this month.
busy with summer school, don't have time for much art, or to comment much, but being on campus, I take photos, and I want to share them, just cause I took them, so that's what the random outpouring of photos is about.
don't feel you have to comment on them.
In other news, I got an "A" on my homework that I posted (93%) even though it had a few typographical errors.
He said he liked the way I expressed it in class better than the written paper, which confirms my theory that I am indeed brilliant, I just need to improve my writing skills (when we discussed it in class, he said I should write it up and submit it to a journal...lol)
Therefor, I am feeling really vindicated right now as far as my ability to do this is concerned.
we'll see how I am feeling tomorrow night when my second written assignment has to be completed.

If I could only keep one of all the people I have ever met through DA, Sheri would be the one (fortunately I dont have to choose, because I want to keep all the rest of you too
I love you all)
We dont actually interact through DA much anymore, but we met on my LDS group here. In real life we have tons of things in common: we live in a similar part of the country, have kids similar age, belong to the same religion, are close to the same age, have similar sorts of disability issues in our families and I love to chat with her on Yahoo every chance I get, which isnt as often as wed both like because we are both busy with families and disabilities and whatnot.
She has various medical problems which often leave her too week or painful to type comments or replies, or to make new art, or to make wonderful features, but when she is up to it she is AWESOME!!! One of these days I will do a bigger feature of her because its so hard to pick only three from the wide variety of interesting stuff in her gallery.
You should all go look at her wonderful gallery, but be understanding that although she may not be able to reply to your comments at any given time, she still reads and appreciates all of them even if she cant respond.
She does photos, fractals, photomanip, animation and 3-d, and combines all those into all sorts of wonderful creations, most of which are very conceptual, so sometimes the description is even better than the awesome picture.

her highness
This is a sample of her photo manipulation. I love how well she puts images together, to capture the spirit of one of the simple but wonderful events of our lives

customer service
This little animation, well
this is not a typical sample of her artwork, but its just so funny I had to include it here
.

she has an interesting sense of humor, which I enjoy

here comes the sun
And this, a fractal with animation, I hope you download to see the moving version or at lease full view to see the amazing fractal details. Its an awesome layers like onions and ogres and hailstones and jawbreakers sort of thing.
These three fall far short of representing the amazing variety of images in her gallery, so please do go look.

I LOVE YOU SHERI!!! I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON!!!
(oh
PS
and she was the one who gave me this lovely blue background for my journal thanks for that too )
Feature volunteer #3; Saskuto
As most who read this already know, I am interested in everything and anyone, I wander around DA randomly greeting anyone and commenting on anything. If you have a cute avatar or leave an interesting comment for someone else, I come and see you, randomly. If you leave a comment or fav for me, I come see who you are.
Last fall, I met Luka *
Dentednotbroken
when he left a comment on one of my poems, and I was immediately impressed with his writing. But since then, I have been even more impressed with his friends. He has a real talent for making friends with wonderful people, probably just because he himself is such a wonderful person.
Thats how I met *
Saskuto
. She is one of Lukass many wonderful friends. She is a very wonderful beautiful person, and very active on DA posting many journals and a variety of deviations, including writing, coloring, photo manipulation, photography, etc.
As always, its hard for me to picked only three, and I havent time to even read or look at everything in her gallery, so you should go see for yourself,

A recent coloring. full view please, as the darkness of his clothing makes it look just dark in the smaller view, but in the large view the colors of his clothing look awesome As with anything, a big part of the art of coloring is choosing the subject, and then it is a matter of showing that subject to best advantage. Shes done a great job of choosing colors and applying them here, plus adding details like the energy ball, and that background is great too.

This poem is beautiful to me because it shows the sensual appeal of smoking, while still framing it as the Self-destructive practice which it is. Very well done

I hope you take the time to read it and leave a comment, since written works on DA often dont get the attention they deserve.

I love self-portraits, and I always says having a beautiful modal makes it so much easier to get a great photo, but apart from all that, this is just a great photo.
Oh oops
I just remembered another picture I really wanted to share, a photo manipulation

but I promised to limit these features to only 3 thumbs, I cant cheat on my rules, so youll have to go look in her gallery now

Keep sharing good stuff *

GlinadaroWe have been DA friends for a little over a year. Im not really sure how we met, but Im glad we did. Her paintings make me want to paint, her photos make me want to make costumes and pose people in them and take photos. The hard things about doing these features Is picking only three things to show off here. I like many different things in her gallery. So go look for yourselves.
She is also a very nice person, leaves me comments and even helps me find typos in my writing

I love when people do that for me

Thanks, ~
Glinadaro !

and thanks for volunteering to be featured here.

This is a beautiful drawing:

I havent yet read the book it is about, but I have been wanting to and seeing illustrations like this makes me want to even more. Those wolves look so lifelike. I know they are trying to kill him, but they just look so soft I want to pet them.

This is a cool painting and it has a story/poem to go with it, so to fully appreciate this you have to go read the poem, not just look at the painting, but isnt that dead horse rising out of the ground just so cool? (I love bones)and the Moonlight looks so...um...moonlightish

I also love that she always gives links to reference pictures used for her paintings. Its always fun and inspiring for me to see how artists use reference images for their creations

Ok it was a hard choice because there are so many other great drawings and paintings in her gallery, but just for variety, heres a great photo. So pretty, I love candle light, and thats such a wonderful outfit

DawningDevilIn real life Erica has lived down the street from me and been one of my daughter's best freinds for about 10 years. Actually it's the other way: I moved here 10 years ago; she has lived there all her life, her family has been here for generations, she is a part of the heart and soul of the small town of St George, Kansas.(whereas I am maybe an infected toenail or a mole on the nose or something...lol)
On DA, Erica leaves great comments, and responds to almost every comment and almost everything posted by her DA freinds. SHe has beeen an awesome freind to me here, she has even read most of my stories, in fact she is the only person in the world who has read most of my stories, and I really really really really appriciate that.
Erica, you are so Awesome!! everyone in the world should have a DA friend like you!!!
the above image is a photo of my Daughter Aubyn in Blackjack creek in St George Kansas. this Summer me and Erica had fun taking pictures of the same subjects, on a differant day, at the creek, and then comparing. usually hers were better than mine, tho I did get some good ones

she has several good creek photos in her gallery. Be sure to read the description. Ericas pictures are always even better if you have read the description

I like the bucket in the foreground on this shot, it gives it the hunting for treasures feeling that is one of the fun things of creek exploration.

yummy macro, must full veiw

I love this cause it looks so yummy, and has great macro details. it makes me want home grown strawberries. I wonder if any of my strawberry plants will have lived through this winter.
this one I like cause I just like pictures of old junk, and this just has the perfect feeling for walking arround in St George looking at old junk in people's yards. lots of us have old junk here
but also.....
these last two go together. I didn't know until after I read the description, but this one shows where the strawberry came from. full veiw to see the little vollunteer strawberry plants growing under the washtub planter.

(I needed a little study break)

sometimes study breaks help more than actually studying, because your brain has a chance to catch up on everything you've been craming into it

but part of it is I can talk fast and use gestures and voice tone to make it make sense, but my lack of skills with punctuation and grammar and organization and such limit my options to make things complicated but still sensible in writing. my thought process is always very complicated.
